Community Health Initiative by University Students (CHUIS)
An inter-professional student-run clinic, CHIUS meets the needs of Vancouver’s downtown eastside community including access to medical professionals and health care services, including dietetics geared specifically to the needs of women. [website]
Dairy Research and Education Centre, Agassiz
Undergraduate students from UBC, University-College of the Fraser Valley and Caribou College intern at the Centre learning reproductive technologies and animal welfare and handling methods. Students from high schools throughout the province gain hands-on work experience and the Centre receives thousands of visitors from the general public each year. [website]
