Maja Krzic receives CSSS Soil Science for Society Award at the CSSS annual conference in Quebec City (June 3-8, 2012). This award is given by the Canadian Society of Soil Science (CSSS) to a scientist who has made an outstanding contribution towards promoting soil science to the general public. Maja’s commitment in bringing soil science to students, community organizations, and members of the general public through the Virtual Soil Science Learning Resource initiative (http://soilweb.landfood.ubc.ca/promo/) embodies the spirit of this award.
