Go Global

Go Global is a program for current UBC undergraduate and graduate students, adding an invaluable overseas experience to your studies. You’ll gain new skills and perspectives, while enjoying a culturally immersive international adventure in another country.

UBC welcomes overseas students to visit Vancouver for an immersive four-week summer school. This gives you the chance to learn about and explore Canadian perspectives on food, nutrition and more, while enjoying social and cultural activities on and around campus.

Chang Che

Food and Resource Economics

Chang Che is a fifth-year Food and Resource Economics (FRE) student whose goal has always been working in public policy. Earlier this year, he travelled to Indonesia with a small cohort of UBC students to take part in Go Global’s LFS 303: International Field Studies in Policy Analysis for Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Marley Blok

Marley Blok is an alumna of the Applied Biology program and currently volunteers with Veterinarians Without Borders in their Volunteers Engaged in Gender-Responsive Technical Solutions Program, or VETS for short. Working with local Ghanaian organizations, Blok's goal is to create sustainable socioeconomic change in rural communities through improving health in animal production systems.
