Dr. Wiseman has cross-cutting industry experience in the agri-food business, banking and marketing sectors in Canada and the United States that she integrates into her academic work. Her research and teaching focus on sustainable entrepreneurship, green financing, and sustainability reporting within the climate, food, and agri-business sectors.
Dr. Wiseman teaches at the graduate and undergraduate level at The University of British Columbia.

Kelleen Wiseman is the Academic Director of the Master of Food and Resource Economics (MFRE) graduate program at The University of British Columbia. Her research and teaching focus on sustainable entrepreneurship, green financing, and sustainability reporting within the climate, food, and agri-business sectors.
With extensive cross-disciplinary experience in agribusiness management and the banking industry in Canada and the United States, she integrates practical industry insights into her academic work. A notable achievement in her career is the launch of UBC's Micro-Certificate in Environmental Metrics for Sustainability Reporting, a program designed to equip professionals with the tools to develop and apply environmental metrics that track organizational impacts and enhance sustainability management practices.
Under her leadership, the MFRE program has seen significant advancements in data analytics training, the development of impactful graduating projects, and the adoption of innovative teaching techniques. These efforts have positioned the program as a leader in preparing students for impactful careers in the global climate, food, and environmental sectors. Her dedication to teaching excellence has been recognized with the prestigious Killam Teaching Award, underscoring her commitment to fostering an engaging and impactful learning environment.
